Hi, I require some help regarding this scenario.

Some of our employee have requested if there are any way that we can disable read sync for one device if she login to the same email on multiple device. For example, she login to her laptop, desktop and phone, but if she read it on her laptop, the read status will sync to her phone but not desktop.

Prior to migrating to Office365, we able to use POP to serve this purpose and thought we can use the same method in this case. But as we tried to login to outlook with POP, it is not working. Contacted support regarding POP and they said this method is now unavailable anymore.

Please help.

    Hi @Admin ,

To disable read sync for one device when logging in to the same email on multiple devices, you can follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to Outlook on the web.
    2. Choose Settings > General > Mobile devices.
    3. Select the device you want to disable read sync for from the list.
    4. Choose to delete the device partnership.

Please note that removing the device partnership will prevent read status synchronization between that device and your mailbox. However, it will not delete the email account from your phone.

It’s worth mentioning that using POP to achieve this purpose is no longer available in Office 365.
