How to migrate Oracle database RMAN backup from one Azure subscription to another.

Hi,

We have one Oracle EBS database running in on Azure's Production subscription. We want to build a standby database in Azure's Dev subscription.

How can we achieve this.

Hi,@Patankar, Narottam Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

You mentioned as Data Migration Service tag, DMS has a defined source and targets only those are allowed to migrate. Can you please provide more information on your use case? what is the source server and target server type so we can better assist you

@Patankar, Narottam If the aim is to copy RMAN backup from the storage in prod subscription to storage in dev subscription, you may use azcopy.

You also need to

setup security for source and dest storage accounts as per: https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/authorize-data-access

@Patankar, Narottam You can refer to the following guidance on different suggested strategies for Oracle backups on Azure Since there is no official Azure backup solution for Oracle databases at the moment.
