Visual Studio Code on Mac issue

Hello,

I am using ADS on Windows and recently started to use Visual Studio Code on MacBook Pro 2020.

I was able to download and install Visual Studio Code but it looks to me that it does not work as I expected.

Here is the version I'm using:

When I tried to Update it I've got this error:

I am running macOS Monterey 12.6.8

I have moved it to Applications folder but still have the same error.

Note: I. don't have admin permission on this MacBook. My account is 'Standard user'

Could you explain or help me with it? Should I care that I can't update?
