Can I rerun Data Migration Assistant?

I have a Production server and a new one to take over from it. I ran Data Migration Assistant on the new server and everything looks fine. Can I simply re-run it again later to get any data changes at the time I wish to swap the servers?

When I tried it, it said that the data files already exist in the TO location, so I guess it wasn't designed to be re-run.

The Data Migration Assistant (DMA) helps you upgrade to a modern data platform by detecting compatibility issues that can impact database functionality when you upgrade to a new version of SQL Server or migrate to Azure SQL Database.

So you could not re-run it after it finished the job.

If you want to load the changed database data to another server, you may consider to use SSIS.

Yes, I think when I need to update the data, I will gracefully shut down both SQL Server instances, then copy the data and log files to the new server. I haven't used SSIS.
