I have a Asus gaming laptop which has 453GB of storage, my biggest piece of software is AutoCAD which is 3GB, and then some adobe products. WIth this being said i should have plenty of storage left however after using Treesize to see whats taking up 360GB of my storage it says its being used by a folder called 'Edge', and the two file names are called 'Functional SAN Data-wal', and 'Functional SAN Data.' They both take up a ridiculous amount of space and I need to know if I can either get rid of the files or reduce the size of them. I have tried to clear cache data and history on Microsoft edge but its basically done nothing. Is there anything else I can do!!!!

    Hello

The files ‘Functional SAN Data-wal’ and ‘Functional SAN Data’ in the ‘Edge’ folder are data stored using the FileSystem API, a relatively rare web API that is not used on most sites. This data can take up a significant amount of space. Here are some steps you can take to manage this data:

Visit edge://settings/siteData in your Microsoft Edge browser.

Look for which sites are storing data there. You can use the “Sort By > Most data” option to see if there’s some site taking up a large amount of data.

You can use that UI to delete individual sites’ data, or you can use the “Clear browsing data” feature to clear data more globally.

Please note that you probably should not just delete the files from the disk using Windows Explorer.

Also, it’s worth noting that these files can be deleted, but they may still be generated. So, managing them through the browser settings as described above is the recommended approach.
