Hello

We are doing some testing to upgrade our organisation laptops to Windows 11 through update rings. Intune update ring says that it has succeeded and Windows update tried to implement the upgrade the laptops to Windows 11 but failed. The error code I got was 0xC1900101. Since then I have looked into the error code and done the recommended fixes, however since then it has not reattempted to install the update. It is still showing as succeeded on Intune update ring but no there is now no sign of it in Windows updates.

Please see below screenshot of the intune config:

@Suki Singh,Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

According to your description, I know that you encountered an issue and after you tried the recommended fix method, the windows update did not prompt to update.

Based on my researching, I found that there are some methods you can refer to solve the issue:

    1.Restart the device.

2.Restart the Windows Update service: Sometimes the Windows Update service may become stuck or not start properly. You can restart the service by pressing the Windows key + R, then typing "services.msc" and pressing Enter. Find the Windows Update service, right-click on it, and select "Restart."

3.Unassign and reassign the update ring policy to the target device.

If above information working, but you still get the error code0xC1900101, based on my researching, the error code is related to driver problem, we suggest that you contact Windows support to get more help.

I noticed that you have already tagged windows11, please wait for Windows Support to help you. If there is no response for a long time, we suggest that you open a phone case to get more help.

    Hello

I have restarted the machine multiple times, restarted the windows update service and reassigned the assignment group but still no Windows 11 update is being pulled down. Any other suggestions?
