I recently ran into the same problem after upgrading to a new computer. It didn't matter which browser I used (Chrome, Edge, Firefox). I fixed it by changing SSMS to use the internal embedded browser, which is the behavior I had with my old machine and what OP stated was the behavior with other colleagues where it is working. The setting can be found by going to Tools -> Options, expanding Azure Services, and in the Azure Cloud options, change Use system default web browser
to False

I am trying to set up a working connection between my SSMS and my Fabric Datalake.
I have followed all the steps described on the following blog: https://sqlreitse.com/2023/06/15/microsoft-fabric-connect-sql-server-management-studio-azure-data-studio-or-windows-explorer-to-your-onelake/
When I connect to the server I fill in the following information:
A pop up screen opens asking me to log in to my microsoft account:
Once I click on the right account I immediately receive the following error:
Colleagues using the samen Azure environment/AD do not have the same issue and it works fine. The difference is they receive a local pop up in their screen asking to log in to their account instead of navigation to the browser where I need to select an account.
I am using SQL SMS version 19.1.56.0.
Does anyone know what I can try/do to fix this issue?
