Adding a custom domain to Azure CDN endpoint via Terraform and Azure DevOps pipeline takes between 10 minutes and 20 minutes

When adding a custom domain to Azure CDN endpoint via Terraform and Azure DevOps pipeline, it takes between 10 minutes and 20 minutes. Is this functioning as designed?
If it is functioning as designed, I would like to work with Azure CDN and Azure DNS teams to improve performance.
Both AWS and GCP add custom domains to their respective CDN's in a fraction of the time.

I'm discussing this issue with the backend team internally for more information. Will keep you posted on the updates.
In the meantime, could you please let me know if this delay in execution is happening all the time or randomly sometimes?

Thank you for the prompt response. It is happening all the time. Execution time never less than 10 minutes and as much as 20 minutes.

If it is while enabling HTTPS, could you please let us know if you are using your own certificate or Azure CDN-managed certificate?

I discussed this issue with the Azure CDN Product Group team, and they mentioned the below:
Adding a custom domain alone shouldn’t take more than a minute or two. However, enabling HTTPS particularly with Managed certificate can take a while because DigiCert takes some time to issue a certificate.
So, could you please confirm if the delay in execution is happening when adding a custom domain to the Azure CDN endpoint or while enabling HTTPS on the custom domain?
