How to Install and Use Microsoft Defender Features

I think I have tagged this correctly, this is part of the problem.

I have bought Microsoft Defender for Business licenses for my client. I am trying to apply the features. I have given one to my admin account in case that is required to set it up. I have given my admin account every admin role I could find.

First item - sorting out Secure Score. Safe Links. The support page shows it applies to Microsoft 365 Defender.

But I cannot get to the page. If I go to https://security.microsoft.com/safelinksv2?tid=27a5c5e4-a176-4765-9711-fe60d720f3b6 it doesn't load the area where I can add a policy. The Threat Policies page only shows Anti-phishing, Anti-spam and Anti-malware. What do I need to do to access and set up Safe Links? (and all the other secure score items I want to set up that require a defender license).

I am also trying to enrol my devices for the defender for endpoint monitoring that is supposed to be included in the license. I tried to follow the instructions here https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/defender-business/mdb-onboard-devices?view=o365-worldwide&tabs=Windows10and11 the page it links to https://security.microsoft.com/ has an enrol devices button, which links to https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Intune_DeviceSettings/MemRedirectBlade which is a page that no longer exists. When I follow the go to the new Microsoft Intune admin center link it takes me here: https://intune.microsoft.com/#home. I can go to Devices / Enrol devices but the only option to enrol devices on that page is Automatic Enrolment which requires a different license. I cannot find an option to download the file for manual enrolment.

So far it doesn't seem that this license actually covers any Microsoft defender features, every one I have attempted to use has demanded a different license.

I would really like an accurate guide to setting up Microsoft Defender for Business along with an accurate list of what features are included with which license.

Hi Lily, To enable Safe Links, navigate to the Microsoft 365 Defender portal (https://security.microsoft.com), then, under 'Policy', select 'Threat Policies'. Here you should see the 'Safe Links' policy. If you don't see it, ensure that your licenses are properly assigned and activated. You can read more on setting up Safe Links from this documentation.

To enroll devices, go to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center (https://endpoint.microsoft.com/). Under 'Devices', select 'Enroll Devices'. Here, you should be able to manually enroll devices. The link you provided seems to be outdated, so please follow these instructions instead.

For the list of features included with Microsoft Defender for Business, you can find a detailed breakdown here.

If you're still experiencing issues, I would recommend reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance
