Hello anonymous user
Apologies for delay in response to this query!
The appliance collects a real-time sample point eg in case of VMware, a sample point is collected every 20 seconds. The appliance combines the sample points to create a single data point every 10 minutes for VMware and then sends the data point to Azure.
For performance data, the agent on the appliance can handle transient disconnects up to 15-30 minutes. However, current memory pressure and number of VMs have an impact when the data points start getting dropped in case in disconnected appliance.
If there is an interruption in connectivity between the appliance and Azure, a few data points may get lost but the data transmission will resume when the connectivity is regained. It may only have an impact on the confidence rating of the performance based assessment you have created for the chosen time period.
