Hi,

I have a simple question.

in Azure Virtual Hub in Virtual WAN, if we configure Routing Intent and protect all connections with Azure firewall (Internal and Internet).

If i add a static route in Connection, to send internet traffic to a NVA place in another connected Vnet, will it work?

Does such static routing works when routing intent configured?

Microsoft documentation is not much clear on such scenario.

Thank you for your patience here. I got a response back from the team.

    Based on your question above.

Does such static routing works when routing intent configured?

No, currently configuring static routes in such scenario is not supported, as documented here you can explore the BGP peering feature and see if that will help in your scenario.

Static route support will be added in the future by the product team.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you!

Configuring the Routing Intent was Selecting Fully Automatic Air Conditioner in CAR. You cannot customize anything. This was not fulfilling our design expectations, so we finally went with solution where we didnt install Azure FW in Virtual Hubs. Placed the AZ FW in dedicated Vnet outside VHub. Made it as hub for other vnets. This way we were able to achive the goal of sending traffic via Internal and Perimeter firewall both.
