Post-patch machine restart

Hi, Team.

I have a doubt about how I could manage the restarts of the computers after the patch. What would be your recommendation:
1- You could create collections with the computers that have automatic restart, the configuration of the deployment would be configured on Tuesdays. But you would have to create other collections with the computers that do not have automatic restart and deploy without restart. This option would have more work.

2- You could create a script to restart the computers and deploy it only to the computers to be restarted.

3- Maintenance windows won't help me with that?

I attached my client's request:

"By virtue of automating the process of restarting the post-patch servers, it is necessary to create a collection that carries out this activity automatically once the servers finish their monthly patch process, ideally the restart task that is scheduled between Tuesday and Thursday of the week following the completion of the patch, this process needs to exclude a group of servers as these are a little more delicate in their systems.

Regards.

I would build maintenance window collections based on the days and time frames to allow the servers to restart outside of business hours (or the hours and days you specify). For your patching deployment collection, you can create another collection that contains the servers that need to be excluded, and use an exclude collection rule on your patching collection. @Rafael Aguilar
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.
We can combine maintenance windows, setting of User Experience and client setting to manage the Post-patch machine restart.
You may have a deeper understanding according to below article:
