Hi, today I tried to install SCVMM 2022 but I always get this error:
Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Common.dll'.
Prior to installing SCVMM 2022 all prerequisites have been completed including installation of the Windows ADK for Windows 11 version 22H2.
I'm running into this issue too. Did you ever fix it, or find a work around?
Yes, I installed both but many files are missing in given location - I uninstalled both and used ConfigMgr Prerequisites Tool 3.0.6 to install them and now everything is fine.

I copied all of the .dll files from C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\amd64\
to
C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\
and this also appears to let the installation complete.
This is a bug in the VMM installer which is hopefully being fixed.
This was the solution for me. Silly bug Microsoft - you were one folder away...

Hi. Yes, the issue is that, in Windows Server 2022, the requested file is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\amd64\Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Common.dll.
If you check the path, is also located under x86, arm and arm64, so it looks like that the path that VMM uses to check for the file is missing this last folder or something like that.
Edit: Confirmed. If you use the files 'adksetup.exe' and 'adkwinpesetup.exe' downloaded from https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/windows-hardware/get-started/adk-install#download-the-adk-101253981-september-2023 dll file is located under the architecture folder. If you use ConfigMgr Prerequisites Tool 3.0.6 there's no architecture folders, so dll file is located in the right place. This issue should be fixed, or at least announced in the VMM site as troubleshoot...

I had the same issue with the DLL installation path. The default ADK installer deployed the DLL in a path containing architecture subfolders (amd64, x86, etc...) C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\amd64\Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Common.dll whereas SCVMM installer tried to locate it in this path : C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Deployment Tools\WSIM\Microsoft.ComponentStudio.Common.dll
After a while, I found out that there are multiple versions of ADK available. I'm actually working on Windows Server 2022, and I finally managed to fix the problem after installing these versions of ADK :
Installation path of the DLL is now correct and I successfully installed SCVMM 2022.

Tip : Both ADK for Windows Server 2022 packages will download a large .ISO file, but extracting then installing only the .exe respective files on the server (adksetup.exe and adkwinpesetup.exe) worked for me. I guess the server must have access to the internet for that.
