Office Online Server and Power BI

Hello,

We already have a SharePoint farm configured with OOS. We will like to add PowerBI Server to the mix, but we will like to reduce the number of servers we are using. So, we will like to install PowerBI on an existing server. We will like to install it along side of OOS, but when looking at the "Plan Office Online Server" page (https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/officeonlineserver/plan-office-online-server), there is a warning about compatibility with other service application and usage of IIS on ports 80, 443 and 809. Power BI is not specifically specified in the list of applications not working with OOS and it is not, as far as I know, using IIS either. So, we are wondering if it is possible to have OOS and Power BI on the same server.

The other option will be to install PowerBI on one of our SharePoint App servers, but I'm afraid this can cause performance issues.

Power Bi is not currently supported here on QnA. They're actively answering Power Bi questions in dedicated forums here.

This is correct forum for OOS but your question seems more about installing Power Bi hence the suggestion. As to conflicts; from a general windows perspective I'd stand up a separate virtual machine for this new application. This way there's no worries about conflicts and if / when issues arise it greatly simplifies troubleshooting when the server only has a single application to deal with.
