Can you implement event-based retention policies with a Business Premium License?

I'm looking to suggest event-based retention policies as a solution for a client I'm working with. They hold a business premium license and I'm trying to determine whether the Business Premium license supports this level of functionality or is it only available with an E5 license.

I know the business premium allows for applying basic retention policies but we only want the policies to be triggered once a particular event is applied.

Many thanks

    Hi

Based on my research and this Events Based Retention now Generally Available in Advanced Data Governance at min 13.00, this feature is available on the E5 license.

Therefore, Event-based retention is part of the advanced data governance features in Microsoft 365 and is not included in the Business Premium license. It requires a Office 365 E5 license or Office 365 E3 license with the Advanced Compliance add-on.
