We installed the update rollup 2 on our orchestrator 2022 test environment yesterday. I now notice some serious issues with this update. If I open the Deployment Manger and click on the 'view' menu item. The application crashes. log below.

Faulting application name: DeploymentManager.exe, version: 10.22.9.2, time stamp: 0x654a312a

If we try and use any integration pack (Active Directory,REST,Configuration Manager,Operations Manager) in the runbook designer; the application crashed. i've downgraded the designer to UR1 and everything works again. This is mentioned as a limition in your Update Article. This is a serious bug, especially as it happens with integration packs supplied by microsoft itself.

Could you please report these issues ASAP to the product team! When can we expect a hotfix or somehting to address the quality of this update? Should I uninstall the entire UR2 ? Is this safe with the changes i probably made to the DB? There is no way I can deploy this in production anytime soon.

    Dear customer,

Thank you for your feedback, I totally understand your concern. and we're very sorry for any inconvenience that may cause.

Based on the release notes for System Center Orchestrator 2022 UR2, there is a known issue where the Runbook Designer crashes with some integration packs when updating existing runbooks or creating new ones. The workaround provided is to uninstall the UR2 patch for Runbook Designer only.

If you have made changes to the database, it is recommended to take a backup before uninstalling the patch.

we will also report this issue and hopefully receive an answer as soon as possible.

If your case is quite urgent, we recommend you open a case in Microsoft CSS support.
