Hello Community,

we want to use the the new "Skip AD connectivity check" to deploy Devices over VPN.

Thats our configuration. When we are in the Company Network it works fine. But outside of the company network, i recieve the Error 80070774 (“domain not found”).
But thats the Idea behind the Skip AD connectivity check. Why does the device still fail during the deployment progress. I want it to skip, so i can deploy the Win32 VPN Software, for me to execute the Domain Join.

What could cause the issue. I really appreciate your help. Thanks a lot.

@Jayd , For the error code “80070774” , it can mean a few different things. like “Intune never found a domain join policy” and “Intune failed to create a device object.” We can check out the ODJ Connector event log to see if there was even a request received.

In addition, for Windows Autopilot user-driven Hybrid Azure AD Join over the internet using a VPN, we can refer to the following links:

    Hope it can help.

Have you validated that your Intune connector is online and healthy?

i have done some Testing. I used a Win 10 1903. The "Skip AD Connectivity Test" was very unreliable. Sometimes it worked, but for most of the time it failed. I used a newer Version of Win 10. Win 10 Version 2004. This worked like a charm. No issues whatsoever.
