per https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/lab-services/how-to-reset-and-redeploy-vm#reimage-a-lab-vm

Students should be able to reimage their own assigned VMs, but I am not seeing that option as available. I do not see a setting in the admin portal or admin settings in azure labs.

Hello, @Addison Combs ! We received your feedback and want to make sure your issue is resolved.

Why don't students see the option to reimage their own VMs when using Azure Lab Services?

Edit: This is because the option to reimage a VM is available in Lab Plans and not Lab Accounts. Lab Plans replaces lab accounts in Azure Lab Services so you may need to migrate from Lab Plans to Lab Accounts:

Redeploy is available to students with Lab Plans:

Redeploy is not available to students with Lab Accounts:

    Hi Addison,

Do you have the Lab Assistant, or Lab Contributor role, as this is a pre-reqs before you can reimage any lab VM for which you have permissions.

So please check in the portal and verify the permissions assigned to your account.

    Hope this helps.
