Azure Custom Vision updates and future plans

I was just wondering if there is any plans to update and improve Custom Vision further? The foundation models are couple of years old now and the service seems to be more or less in maintenance mode and I have not seen much of an improvement in the past two years.

With so much development happening in the past few months it seems like there is a lot of missed opportunity in terms of improvement...

Is there any plans to update and improve Custom Vision? Is there any successor released or in the works?
