Will the functionality of the "taskFactory" be incorporated into the basic "az batch" commands? This functionality is very useful.

    Hi @Nipper, William Matthew

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform.

The "taskFactory" functionality provided by the Azure Batch CLI extensions will not be incorporated into the basic "az batch" commands.

However, the Azure Batch team is working on providing alternative solutions for some of the features provided by the Azure Batch CLI extensions, including the "taskFactory" functionality. For example, the team is working on providing a new feature called "task templates" that will allow you to define a set of common task properties and reuse them across multiple tasks.

In addition, the Azure Batch team is also working on improving the overall experience of using Azure Batch, including the Azure Batch REST API and the Azure Portal.

If you have any specific requirements or use cases that are currently addressed by the "taskFactory" functionality, I recommend reaching out to the Azure Batch support team to provide feedback and discuss potential solutions.
