Hello team,

Our customer has already onboarded on Microsoft Partner portal for MS 365 service. Primary domain is already taken during this onboarding e.g. [xyz.onmicrosoft.com]. This onboarding engagement is directly managed by the customer.

Now, our company is going to onboard the customer on Microsoft Partner portal as an Azure Cloud reseller. In this engagement, our company is going to manage the engagement. Also, we can’t use [xyz.onmicrosoft.com] as a primary domain which is already used by the customer for MS 365 service.

We would require your inputs on following points,

  1. Can we leverage customer’s MS 365 onboarding for Azure Cloud as a reseller partner ? By following New Relationship process (under customer onboarding, by clicking at New Relationship button) ?
  2. If the above is possible, is there any way to restrict customer’s admin to view invoice and other financial details ?
  3. If the point 1 is not possible, then onboarding of the customer with differnt primary domain name e.g. xyz12.onmicrosoft.com will create new Azure Cloud Entra ID. How can we make seamless integration between MS 365 users and Azure Cloud hosted applications users ? Sync-up of the users from MS 365 Entra ID to Azure Cloud Entra ID would be sufficient ? Also, let us know the steps which would be required for the sync-up activities.

    Hi,

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A community forum!

Transferring an Azure subscription from one CSP partner to another is a multistep process that requires actions by the customer, the current partner, and the new partner at various stages. The following table is intended as a sequence diagram to help clarify who does what and when.

If your customer already has a CSP subscription, you can transfer their tenant to your CSP by following these steps:

1 Customer notifies Microsoft and current partner in writing
2 Create support ticket to request transfer
3 Send completed transfer form to customer
4 Complete Change of Cloud Solution Provider form
5 Review, sign, & return form Review, sign, & return form
6 Review form and attach to service request
7 Remove old partner from account
    8 Remove outdated access permissions
