We are now unable to deploy to the empty staging slot of an existing classic cloud service. We are getting an error on **"**Create Deployment Slot" operation of "Instead of creating Cloud Services (classic), you should now create Cloud Services (extended support) using Azure Resource Manager. Learn more at - https://aka.ms/cloudservicesretirement." " but we are currently not even close to 8-24-2024 at that cutoff date. We last deployed on 12-30-2022 with this service definition but now it will not deploy and we are not sure why. We used to be using the vmsize="ExtraSmall" so we want to stay close to that price point so we tried using vmsize="Basic_A0" and vmsize="Standard_A0" but the deployment still did not work.

    Hello DkDev

As you are aware that Av1-series retirement is announced and this series will be fully depreciated by August 31, 2024.

It is advised to use new sizes and this also helps with the transition to the new series smoothly.

Please try more appropriate Av2 offering for cloud services extended.

    Hope this helps.
