Hi!
I'm trying to install the Visual Studio 2019 community but after a few sec when the installer is started,
inform me "Before you get started, we need to setup few things..." and the installer downloads something
which is around 75Mb, installs that and exit.

Nothing else happen. The Visual Studio 2019 community isn't installed also.

What I tried:

  • fully updated windows 7 x64.
  • restarted the PC after update
  • restarted the installer
  • Tried different things suggested here and on the net
  • Started the installer with admin rights

No way to install the app.

I have to say too, my PC is compatible with the system requirement for VS2019 community.

What can I do now?

Thank you.

    Hi @Unsubscrib3-2460,

Please ensure that you have installed Windows 7 SP1 on your computer and any pending updates have been finished. Before the installation, please try to kill all VS2019 processes in task manager and reboot your computer. Meanwhile, temporarily disable any anti-virus software and clean up %temp% folder.

In addition, could you try to run the vs_installershell.exe file to launch your Visual Studio Installer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer?
If it doesn’t work, we suggest you remove the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer. Then, re-download the bootstrapper file from Microsoft Site and run it as administrator.

If it persists, we need your help to collect your installation logs. Please download and run this collect.exe tool, go to %temp% folder and find the vslogs.zip file, upload it to https://onedrive.live.com/ and share the link here. Thanks for your understanding.
