Root Domain's DNS state is under `CNAME/alias record is not currently detected` on AFD's domain

I have a question about setting up Domain's DNS settings for an AFD. The customer owns Azure DNS Zones service that hosts all the DNS records for that domain. The Domain is a root domain(xxx.com) and has been authorized already by adding a TXT record in DNS Zones. However, after 48 hours of the change, the DNS state of that domain on AFD is complaining that the CNAME/alias record is not currently detected .

At this point, I don't see any point in why a root domain needs a CNAME and how can we get around the error under the column. I am wondering would a hard refresh from your backend of the DNS server would help. Could any DNS/Infra expert help out? Many thanks in advance!  Screenshot 2024-01-15 at 8.09.38 am
