I have a question about setting up Domain's DNS settings for an AFD. The customer owns Azure DNS Zones service that hosts all the DNS records for that domain. The Domain is a root domain(xxx.com) and has been authorized already by adding a TXT record in DNS Zones. However, after 48 hours of the change, the DNS state of that domain on AFD is complaining that the CNAME/alias record is not currently detected .
At this point, I don't see any point in why a root domain needs a CNAME and how can we get around the error under the column. I am wondering would a hard refresh from your backend of the DNS server would help. Could any DNS/Infra expert help out? Many thanks in advance!

Thanks for your prompt response. I can confirm that we don't have an Azure Traffic Manager in the middle so this shouldn't be the case. After I read the link you provided, I found my case falls under https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/frontdoor/front-door-how-to-onboard-apex-domain?pivots=front-door-standard-premium at step 7. The remediation is to add an A record to the DNS host for that AFD as the endpoint, which I did, but the issue doesn't go away. So I think I might need your help to hard refresh the DNS state on your end or if you guide me further on this. Many thanks!
