Replicating VMware virtual server to Azure Site Recovery

I'm attempting to replicate a virtual server to Azure Site Recovery, but I keep encountering the same error. I've attempted a manual install from the source server and checked WMI, but the error persists. azure Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @Imran Shabir Ensure that the user credentials provided for the source machine on the configuration server are correct. Sometimes the server has a restart pending to apply an update, try checking for a restart and then do manual installation You can also try, to enable the WMI service for private, public, and domain profiles through the firewall.

netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="windows management instrumentation (wmi)" new enable=yes

Hi Jackson, thank you for the response, I rebooted the source machine and re-run the sync with the same error. I tried another machine and got the same error. I run the command on both machines i was trying to replicate but nothing changed in terms of the replication. I havent checked the account used for the replication yet. Imran

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue:

Check the installation logs: The installation logs can be found in the following location: C:\ProgramData\ASRSetupLogs. Look for any errors or warnings in the logs that might indicate the cause of the problem.

Check the prerequisites: Make sure that the source machine meets all the prerequisites for installing the Mobility service. You can find the prerequisites in the following article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-physical-mobility-service-overview#prerequisites

Check the firewall settings: Make sure that the required ports are open on the source machine's firewall. You can find the required ports in the following article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/site-recovery/vmware-physical-mobility-service-overview#ports

Check the antivirus software: Antivirus software can sometimes interfere with the installation of the Mobility service. Try disabling the antivirus software temporarily and then attempt the installation again.

Try a manual installation: If the push installation is not working, you can try a manual installation of the Mobility service. Hi Jackson, thank you for the response and apologies i thought i had replied to this. I tried that command on the machine trying to replicate but same error, i setup another machine and gave the same error. I also tried the manual install via primary/config server and from the command prompt it didnt show any output as being failed, error etc. Imran
