Hi, I am trying to implement a BYOD application in the Chat Playground section with images using GPT4-Vision. I am running into an error 'We couldn't connect your data invalid connection string for vision'. I have also tried to enable the Vision toggle button, but it does not show the available computer vision resources that are deployed and available. User's image

Srishti Ganguly Looks like your computer vision and Azure OpenAI resources are in different locations. I just tried creating both the resources in same region and able to select it after enabling the toggle button for vision. Please see below for more details.

I would suggest you, create the vision resource in the same region as your OpenAI deployed region. Do let me know if that helps or have any other queries.

Hi, both the resources are in the same location. Yet the Vision resource is not visible in the dropdown.

For the vision resource not visible issue, Could you share the screenshot of both the Vision Service region and Azure OpenAI service region for clarity?

For the invalid connection string for vision issue:

Azure OpenAI on your data supports the following filetypes:

.txt

.md

.html

Microsoft Word files

Microsoft PowerPoint files

PDF

Try to check the permissions of your blob storage account to ensure that you have all the necessary permissions to upload the data. Also try with different file formats as well and see. Do you have any firewall setup? Please see Troubleshoot connections to restricted resources for more details.

To allow access to your Azure OpenAI service from your client machines, like using Azure OpenAI Studio, you need to create private endpoint connections that connect to your Azure OpenAI resource.

Hi Ashok, Much appreciate your help. I followed the link you shared and created new resources for Azure Open AI, Azure Search, and Storage Account and connected them to the same VNET. I created private endpoints and selected "Selected Networks and Private Endpoints" in the Networking. I added the role of "Storage Data Blob Contributor" for Azure Open AI and Azure Search resources. I provided myself the role of "Cognitive Services Contributor" on Azure Open AI resource. I checked from a VM deployed in the same VNET to access the resources and was able to access the storage account and also create an index. Yet when I try to implement a BYOD in the playground I get an error "We couldn't connect your data Failed to create index". Here is the screenshot:
