The MFA authentication application (Microsoft Authenticator) configured for the Microsoft 365 Business Global Administrator account is not available.

  1. The mobile phone used for authentication is broken.
  2. Microsoft Authenticator entries are not backed up.
  3. MFA original entries cannot be restored.
  4. No other authentication options have been set.
  5. Account login details (username, password) are available
  6. The secondary e-mail is available for changing the password (it cannot be used for authentication!!)
  7. Hungarian business support (telephone, chat, e-mail) is not available at any time. I tried 30-40 times and then gave up. What possible solution is there to turn off MFA of the admin account, or to enter or add other authentication options (phone number, e-mail address)?

    Hi @HCSABA-6332

If there is no another admin account to disabled MFA or register MFA on blocked admin account , unfortunately only Microsoft can help you to fix this issue.

It's recommended to have a break-Glass account with MFA disabled , in order to fix this kind of situation when all Global admin account protected by MFA are blocked.

Manage emergency access accounts in Microsoft Entra ID

Nice First of all, thank you for taking the time to help! I will not add anything to the recommended article (break-Glass) and the other 2 links, because it does not help with the current problem. In order to set such and such accesses, I have to log in as an admin. I have already tried the telephone support option (see point 7) and the online support (an admin account is required for this to be able to start a support request). Unfortunately, I also became much wiser afterwards (like so many IT professionals at least once during our professional journey). thx
