Hello, We have sharepoint 2019 on-prem server environment and we have office online server. Office documents open in office online. Pdf documents are opening in browser which we want that way. Recently noticed that pdf attachments to a list item which is in modern view is opening the pdf attachments in word online. How to make the pdf attachments open in browser rather than in word online? The pdf documents stored in document library are opening in browser only. Pdf Attachments on modern list forms - opening in word online - How to make them open in browser? pdf documents stored in a document library - opening in browser - working fine pdf attachments on classic list forms - opening in browser - working fine I wonder if this started happening after a security update? Not sure. But how to fix the problem?

2024-01-23T13:36:38.45+00:00 But since we don't have a way to show the pdf in word, its attempting to open in word and it shows blank screen and gives error that office does not understand the command its given. Is there a way to make it open correctly or open in browser?

2024-01-23T13:43:34.56+00:00 Since pdf can't open in word in our environment, even though its attempting to open in word its open a blank screen and giving this error "the action couldn't be performed because office doesn't recognize the command it was given" how to open the pdf correctly? or open in browser so it opens correctly?
