Copilot missing on Windows 11 Pro when joining a domain

Copilot is present on the taskbar when I log into a PC as local admin. When I join a Windows Domain Copilot is not available. I have tried all "classic" remedies so far:

  • Enabled GPO
  • Used Vivetool
  • Full shutdown
  • Edge command line It is clear to me that this is domain related, as every time I get in as local I get copilot. Any ideas? Thanks a lot

    Hi Zilberstein Marco,

Thanks for your post. I noticed that this issue occurs after joining a Windows domain, is it your enterprise domain? It sounds like there are some group policy in the domain that prevent this function to be enabled. Organizations that aren't ready to use Copilot in Windows can disable it until they're ready by using the following policy, please help to check if the policy has been pushed.

    • CSP: ./User/Vendor/MSFT/Policy/Config/WindowsAI/TurnOffWindowsCopilot
    • Group Policy: User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows Copilot*Turn off Windows Copilot*

    Best Regards,
