Hello My AWS server does not seem to have the prerequisites needed, can I still migrate to AWS? This is my first time migrating with your tool. I could use help making sure the migration goes smoothly. Best regards Milton Gonzalez Removed PII data

    Hi Milton,

If you are looking to use Azure Migrate to migrate from AWS then please see:

Tutorial: Discover AWS instances with Azure Migrate: Discovery and assessment

Discover, assess, and migrate Amazon Web Services (AWS) VMs to Azure

Azure Migrate is used to migrate from AWS (not vice versa).

    Hey,

As mentioned, you should deploy AWS instance for Azure Migrate, which should have following prerequisites: Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022 installed. - 16-GB RAM, 8 vCPUs, around 80 GB of disk storage, and an external virtual switch. The instance you want to migrate should have either WinRM port 5985 (HTTP) open (for Windows) or port 22 (TCP) open (for Linux).

As another option, you can use StarWind V2V Converter to move AWS instance to Azure.
