Hi, In Azure Migrate, when I click on the "View dependencies" link for any server found with Azure Migrate Agentless discovery, I get the error: "Error generating map. Please contact support." Issue occurs in Chrome and Edge on Windows 10 Ent 22H2. Am I perhaps missing some software or is it something else? Thanks, Tomi error

Hello @Tomi Strugar Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern. Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you!

From the details you shared above, I understand that you are trying to set up agentless dependency analysis in Azure Migrate and encountered an error. There are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the issue:

Check the data source: Ensure that the data source is configured correctly, and that the data is being collected successfully. You can check the data collection status in the Azure Migrate portal.

Check the data retention period: Ensure that the data retention period is set to a sufficient length to generate the map. By default, the data retention period is set to 30 days. If you need to generate a map for a longer period, you will need to adjust the data retention period accordingly.

Check the map settings: Ensure that the map settings are configured correctly. You can adjust the map settings to include or exclude specific servers or applications, and to filter the data by time range or other criteria.

Check the browser settings: Ensure that your browser is configured correctly to display the map. You may need to adjust the browser settings to allow pop-ups or enable JavaScript.

Check the Azure Migrate service status: Check the Azure Migrate service status to ensure that there are no known issues or outages that could be affecting the map generation.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you can try generating the map again at a later time. If the issue persists, you can contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

    Update:

Per this link - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/migrate/tutorial-prepare-physical, "Owner/Contributor" permissions are required.

While Contributor permissions are required for certain actions, the project can be reviewed with Reader access on the subscription. In addition, to be able to review the agentless dependency map, you would need 2 additional permissions assigned: Microsoft.OffAzure/VMwareSites/generateCoarseMap/action, Microsoft.OffAzure/VMwareSites/generateDetailedMap/action.

Note that certain export actions (assessments, application inventory, dependencies) would not be feasible with Reader access.
