@EnterpriseArchitect, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Currently, Intune only supports to enroll Ubuntu Desktop. Here is the system requirement for your reference:

    User's image

To enroll Ubuntu Desktop into Intune, you can install Microsoft Intune app and sign in with your work or school account. When the device enrolled into it, it also registers into Azure AD.

For the requirement to do Azure AD join, it is not supported on Linux device. The only support OS are Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices except Home editions.

@EnterpriseArchitect From the above comments, I understand you want to manage Linux devices using Intune.

We can only do Microsoft Entra register for Linux, review this article - https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/entra/identity/devices/concept-device-registration which operating systems version supported.

Also you can review this https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/mem/intune/user-help/enroll-device-linux for the detailed steps on how to enroll Linux device in Intune.

Came across this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Wr-292k3wc which might help you.

Added Intune tag as well for more visibility for your ask. Let me know if you have any further questions, feel free to post back.

I don't believe you can Entra ID Join a non-Windows computer, only register. And to me it looks like that would only work through the linux intune agent or Defender for Endpoint...
