Hello, I have the following problems with the new OUTLOOK that I would appreciate if you could give us an answer. It would help many users who want to take the leap.

  • The classic ribbon cannot be edited? Before there was a right click option, and add remove buttons.
  • has the rule disappeared in outlook? I can't tabulate paragraphs/sentences, like we could before?
  • Option to save and send an email, has it disappeared? Before you could select, send and save in the selected folder, now they are only saved in sent?
  • New shortcuts? Before Ctrl N, bold, Ctr S, underline...etc.. with more shortcuts, they have changed, English keyboard format, despite having the keyboard configured as Esp. It is not possible to go back to the previous Outlook.
  • I have Windows 11 Enterprise, 23H2, 22631.3007, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0 installed, - and the option to return to the previous outlook does not work. Keep opening the new Outlook. Is it not possible to return to the previous option? So what is the button for?
  • Save multiple files from an email. Before I could select them all and drag them to the windows folder to save. Now it's just one at a time?
  • Open attached files, why not let them be opened with the file software and not with a word, pdf, etc. viewer, which is extremely limited in functions? To open it in your software, do you always have to download, accept, open in the download folder?... There are many problems that are being observed, among others those described here. We would appreciate if you could give us an answer, since there are many of us in the organization and many other organizations that are facing numerous changes that did not imply any improvement in the software. Thank you very much for your possible support and help.

I've been working with the new version for about two weeks now and I have the impression that it was programmed by people who don't use Outlook. Aside from the numerous email issues I'm having, the following calendar issues is keeping me from getting my work done.

    1. Drop and drag of calendar items from an email or even from my own calendar to a shared calendar is not possible. This was very efficient in the previous version. In addition, all calendar entries in my and all shared calendars have disappeared from the old outlook so I can not fix the problem by using the old version.
    2. You can no longer see all the calendars (with me up to 5 at a time) that are open at a glance on the monitor. Instead, there is now a scroll bar which cannot be removed. This means you need to scroll to see calendars. This is extremely annoying and I can't get the job done efficiently like this.

A positive feature is that more than 3 time zones can be set! Thanks for that!

Hi @Sergio González Fernández , I understand your concerns about the new version of Outlook. Let’s address each of your points:

    1. Editing the Classic Ribbon: The new Outlook has a simplified ribbon that may not support all the customization options available in the classic version. However, you can still access most commands from the ribbon.
    2. Outlook Rules: You can still create and manage rules in the new Outlook. To add or edit mailbox rules, select the emails, right-click, find ‘Advanced Actions’, and click ‘Create rule’. You can also go to Settings > Mail > Rules > Add new rules.
    3. Tabulating Paragraphs/Sentences: The new Outlook offers a variety of editing options, including table formatting. However, it might not support all the text formatting options available in the classic version.
    4. Save and Send an Email: The new Outlook does not support this feature yet,
    5. New Shortcuts: The new Outlook still supports many keyboard shortcuts. However, some shortcuts might have changed or are not available in the new version. See: Keyboard shortcuts for Outlook
    6. Reverting to the Previous Outlook: If you’re having trouble reverting to the previous version of Outlook, you can try the steps in this article: Going back to classic Outlook for Windows
    7. Saving Multiple Files from an Email: In the new Outlook, you might need to save attachments one at a time. However, in the classic Outlook, you can select multiple attachments and drag them to a folder.
    8. Opening Attached Files: The new Outlook might open attachments with a built-in viewer. If you want to open attachments with specific software, you might need to download the attachment first.

The place to follow all upcoming features and when they are releasing is the Microsoft 365 roadmap.

Please note that the new Outlook is still being updated, and some features might not work as expected or might be different from the classic version. You can help us improve the product by providing feedback about your experience with the app.

One more annoying problem come on top : Each time you have a red underlined word (Wording Correction Feature) - and you'd like to edit this word, instead of using the "left-click-correction-sugesstions" you often have the risk that the whole email will be send to archive or draft because you tried to enter a new line or tab ... maybe this have been overlooked by programer/beta-testers ..

The below keys work for classic outlook but not the new outlook. How do we save deleted items and sent items back into the shared mailbox for the new outlook?

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences
    "DelegateSentItemsStyle"=dword:00000001
