Hey guys,
I am setting up the Azure Log Analytics service in my lab.
My goal is to manage on-premise server updates with the Azure automation account service.
So I would like to know how much data per month is ingested in the Log Analytics workspace for a on premise server ? and how much does this service cost for this amount of data?

@Raphael Welcome to Microsoft Q & A Community Forum. Typically 1 GB to 3 GB of data month is ingested from a typical Azure VM. The information on how much data will be ingested to Log analytics workspace for a on premise server totally depends on the amount of data being collected. One way to know is , you can use the Azure Monitor pricing calculator to estimate the cost of using Azure Monitor.

@Raphael AFAIK, there isn't any estimation available for non-azure machines that I can share with you. The only way is to find out by connecting non-azure machine to log analytics and executing the below query. For more information, refer this document.
