About the latest WinRe update and its precursor to automate it [the KB5034441 for to apply KB5034232].
In the event of using the instructions at
chapter "Apply the update to a running pc";
What does it mean a succesful completion of that process? That we did not require KB5034441 to install KB5034232?
Note that 'Dism /Image:C:\mount\ /Get-Packages' showed the version required;
'DISM /Get-Packages' with 'reagentc /info' showed priorly a size of 2,196,xxx,xxx bytes and afterwards a change of size at 2,3xx,xxx,xxx bytes.
Now how should I regard the failure message at Windows Update,
There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643) -Retry

It sounds like the automator update to require a specific size in the partition. While the actual update is listed as offerable in Windows Update Catalogue. Also the instructions at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf come a bit vague: Why reagentc/info reported 2,1xx,xxx,xxx bytes when the recovery partition is actually over 500MB? Maybe that is the remaining free space? Not so much as 250MB? Then when I added the update without the automator how could the remaining space be increased?And what with the identifier in the creation of the new recovery partition?
Hello, This update requires 250 MB of free space in the recovery partition to install successfully. If the recovery partition does not have sufficient free space, this update will fail. In this case, you will receive the following error message: 0x80070643 - ERROR_INSTALL_FAILURE To avoid this error or recover from this failure, please follow the Instructions to manually resize your partition to install the WinRE update and then try installing this update. KB5028997: Instructions to manually resize your partition to install the WinRE update - Microsoft Support Or, to use a sample script to increase the size of the WinRE recovery partition, see Extend the Windows RE Partition. Add an update to Windows RE | Microsoft Learn To verify the installation of this update, use__DISM /Get-Packages__to ensure Safe OS Dynamic Update package is present on WinRE.
