Hi there,

I am hoping someone can help me, I have been in contact with multiple support lines of. Microsoft and no one cans seem to help / understand my query and I was sent here via the support chat.

I am looking for the technical documentation for Active Directory CERTIFICATE SERVICES (not Azure, not FS, just cert serv) 2019. I need to know what the hardware requirements and limitations are for cert issuance ,backup, size of cert, how many certs can a CPU handle etc..

For example, I am looking to something similar to what I found in the 20008 Active Directory CERTIFICATE SERVICES documentation
"every cert issued requires 17kb in the db and 15kb in the log, so approx. 25k certs per GB
a dual-core cpu and 4GB of ram can process approx. 125 requests per second"

Can someone please help with getting the documentation for Active Directory CERTIFICATE SERVICES on Windows Server 2019.

Cheers

A

    Hi,

    As far as I know the official Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) documentation has not been updated to the last 2019 version, most of what applies to the existing documentation applies to the newer version as well.

    @Leon Laude
    Thanks for this but even in the Domain Services overview I can't see any of the HW / Technical requirements for ADCS so this still leaves me without a solution. I am specifically looking for that information or any that can elude to the previous example paragraph I posted.
    If it hasn't been updated, could you point me in the right direction of the most recent ADCS documentation?
    Cheers
    Andrew
