Add a new test on PBI board / adding a new test via linktype 'Tests' to PBI

Adding a new test case to a PBI via Board 'Backlog items' by clicking on options for PBI "Add Test", it will create a new test case visible on the PBI Board and depending to my project configuration it is creating a new test suite in a specified test plan.

On the other hand, if I create a test case by opening a PBI and selecting "Add link", "new item" choosing link type "Tests", it will create a new test case but without creating the test suite as expected and described first.
This test case is also not visible on the PBI board. But when I add a new test case as described via the Board on the same PBI, then it will show me the test case which I added via the link type.

Sounds like a bug for me.

    Hi @Kemnitz Pitt ,

Thank you for taking time to post this issue in Microsoft Q&A forum.

From your description, it seems your issue is related to Azure DevOps. May I ask, do you use Azure DevOps?

Since Azure DevOps is currently not supported in the Microsoft Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here: https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/answers/products/ (more to be added later on), if you are using Azure DevOps, and this issue is related to the operations of features in Azure DevOps, I recommend you can redirect to our Developer Community(Azure DevOps) or Stack Overflow tagged with azure devops and start a new thread there to get more professional help.

If you don’t use Azure DevOps, could you please share more detailed information with us, for example, which Microsoft product are you using, and this will be useful for us to check further.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,
    Tianyu
