Device Wipe goes to WinRE in 10%

We are using Device Wipe to re-install Wi10 machine before handing it out to another user. In 10% cases, computer goes to WinRE and is not recoverble. We need to use USB installation media then to fully re-install the machine.

Laptops are not exactly new, 1-2 years ago so it should not be about brand new drivers missing which MS doesn't have in its catalog.

My primary question here is - is the Wipe method meant to get the device fully re-deployed and ready to use, or is it more just to get rid of the device securely - no matter what happends to the OS.

@Pavel yannara Mirochnitchenko , The Wipe action restores a device to its factory default settings. The user data is kept if you choose the Retain enrollment state and user account checkbox. Otherwise, all data, apps, and settings will be removed. So for your question, based on my understanding, it removes related data policies, setting, data and do a reset on the device. We can see more details in the following link:

From your description, I know some devices are unable to start up again. Could you confirm if we choose the option "Wipe device, and continue to wipe even if device loses power"? If we check this, In some configurations this action may leave the device unable to reboot and require us to re-image it.

    Hope it can help.
