What about the idea to add a column type to Microsoft SharePoint that is defined by a Copilot prompt?

Current SharePoint columns are geared towards manual user interaction at best. What if a columns contents can be defined by a Copilot prompt. Thus, e.g. a summary column can be defined that takes the content of an item and puts a summary in the summary column. or a keywords column that extracts the main keywords from the content and mathes it with entries in the corporate managed metadata taxonomy.

    Hi @Rob Aaldijk,

Thank you for posting in this community.

Currently Copilot only supports generating summaries and then manually copying the generated summaries.

Automatically inserting the summaries into the summary column is a great idea. You can submit this idea on SharePoint Feedback portal.

Thank you for your kind understanding.
