Hi all. I'm self-studying to sit the DP-900 certification exam and when going through the Explore Data Analytics in Microsoft Fabric exercise I got stuck with a table showing a red triangle with an exclamation mark in it, which isn't allowing me to use it to create a new report in Power BI Report Design. Would anyone be able to help me solve it? Thank you.

    Hi Fabiana Bertini,

Thank you for contacting us on Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Step1: Left side pane under Explorer, we can see only “dimension_stock_items” table. Please consider only that table. Ignore Whatever right side highlighted tables.

Step 2: Try to create a view with below query (Kindly refer this link:

    SELECT Brand, COUNT(StockItemKey) AS Products

    FROM dimension_stock_item

    GROUP BY Brand

Step 3: try to make a relationship between brand from “dimension_stock_items” table to brand from “View”. Please refer below screenshot.

Step 4: start design a report, Select the New report, It can load the table and the view to Power BI report designer.

    Hi Mahesh.

Unfortunately, I'm still having the same problem. I've tried to go back and start again from when I run the SQL query but the result is the same.

You've suggested that I should make a relationship between the brand from “dimension_stock_items” table and to brand from “View”, but I'm not sure how to do this as there's no value on "MyLakehouse - Views".

But as you can see also, my table shows a red triangle sign with an exclamation mark that your table doesn't have and it makes me feel that this is what's causing the problem for me to go ahead.

The result is the same as I've sent before, a message saying that 'Cannot load model'.

Thank you very much for trying to help anyway.

    Kind regards.

    Fabiana

    Hi Mahesh.

Thank you very much for your help. When I tried to follow the steps you suggested, after trying to 'Save as View' I got the following message:

    Hi Mahesh.

Thank you for detailing the explanation. I did 'Save as View' but I'm not sure how to make a relationship between the brand from the “dimension_stock_items” table to the brand from “View”. Anyway, I tried creating a 'New report' and the same message persists. I'm sending below also the error details.Screenshot 2024-03-12 at 08.55.39
