Issue: Persistent problems with Microsoft 365 after Windows updates.

Environment:

  • Windows 11 Pro (latest updates).
  • Linked Windows session login to personal Microsoft 365 account with valid license.
  • Three professional Microsoft 365 accounts under various plans.
  • Issue persists across local Windows account, AD account, and Microsoft accounts.

Symptoms:

  • Post-Windows update issues with Outlook, OneDrive, Microsoft Store (personal account), including:
    • Microsoft Store error: "We're sorry! An error occurred, but we are fixing it. Try refreshing or come back later."
    • Outlook error: "We can't connect you... HTTP 404 login.microsoftonline.com" and "No network connection [2603]".
    • Windows settings issue: Professional accounts disappear, unable to add back through "Add a work or school account".
  • Occurs only after a while with all 4 accounts working well. Issue appears mostly after Windows Update, but not only (other causes not found).

Usage:

  • Outlook for emails and calendars.
  • OneDrive for each M365 account, including two SharePoint synchronizations.
  • Excel/Word with one of the accounts.
  • Edge with multiple profiles linked to each M365 account.
  • No issues with web interactions (Excel, Outlook, OneDrive online) and Edge. All of them working well in any case (No invalid licences) problem.

Attempted Solutions (Applied solutions to allow work, but only temporary, solving nothing at all.):

  • Reverting to a system restore point temporarily resolves the issue but results in loss of system changes.
  • Complete system reinstallation has been a temporary fix (After 5 full reinstall of Windows and all the development environment in less than 6 months --> Huge waste of time).

Additional Information:

  • C# developer, Windows developer mode enabled.
  • Uses a NTFS disk and ReFS disk formats, the Linux subsystem (Ubuntu/WSL) and Docker.

Request: Need guidance on resolving these persistent issues without compromising work configurations.AccountsDisapearIssue

    Hello,

Prior to this issue, I had proactively removed my antivirus software and have since been relying solely on Windows Defender in its default configuration. However, I've encountered a problem where Defender also loses its connection, and I'm unable to reestablish it, receiving the 'Error 0x80190001' message.

From my understanding, it appears the recommendation might be to disable the antivirus software before proceeding with certain actions. This situation has left me quite perplexed. And I'm stuck here as well...

    Hi,

Probably a bit late to the party here, but I was experiencing these issues and it transpired to be caused by the SonicWALL NetExtender VPN application - https://www.reddit.com/r/sonicwall/comments/117uenh/netextender_seems_to_break_connection_to_office/

Not sure if this applies in your environment, but I thought it worthwhile mentioning just in case.

    Thanks,

    Adam
