Visual Studio 2022 is installed completely and operational. My error revolves around adding a Github account in an environment with minimal internet access. I've added several proxies so that Github access is enabled, but I get a nondescriptive error with these steps:

  1. In Visual Studio 22, go to the top right to the account, attempt to add Github account
  2. Browser opens, progress through browser authenticating the account. Receive the "Success! Auth is successful, return to VS" message
  3. Visual Studio immediately has a new error popup:

"There was a problem adding your Github account. For help signing in, go to aka.ms/githubonvs"

This page recommends removing localhost from HSTS, which I have done but the error remains. Are there other URLs that VS requires for Github functionality that wouldn't be involved with authentication and GIT access? Is this an issue on the VS-side?

Had the same issue on a VM. Tried with all browsers I have installed, cleared cached but it seems the issue persists. Do you have any sugestions?
