Procedure to start the Entra Connect server from staging and decommissioning the old Azure AD connect server

What are the actions I need to take to complete the following process?

  1. Stop the old Azure AD Connect server in production.
  2. Launch the new Azure AD Connect / Entra Connect staging server into production.
  3. Shut down and decommission the previous Azure AD connect server from both OnPremise and Azure AD/Entra ID.

    Hi @EnterpriseArchitect •

    You should follow these steps:

    1. Install and configure staging mode new server using the exported configuration from old server: Install Microsoft Entra Connect with staging mode
    2. Enable staging mode on old server : Change currently Active Sync Server to staging mode
    3. Disable staging mode on new server: you can use the same procedure in previous steps but you have to uncheck this option :

    4. If the synchronisation works well , you can stop and decom old server
