Not working as expected web to app Uri Handlers?

Hi,

I was trying to launch my application by associating my own website to it. Was following the instructions mentioned in the document, by building a packaged application.

Added the extension block and added my website domain inside that. Currently using a github.io to try this out.
Also added the json file at the root directory with packaged family name and currently accepting all the paths by accepting the wild character *.

Now, as to try and test out they mentioned in the document to enter the url in the run dialog and see whether that launches the application. But currently that is not launching the application.

Also checked in settings application (Apps->Apps for websites) there my application is registered too. It doesn't seem to be running. Can somebody help over here?
