Hi Team,
I have read the Microsoft document on the Azure Eventhub limits from "https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/event-hubs/event-hubs-quotas#basic-vs-standard-vs-premium-vs-dedicated-tiers"
I see some discrepancies in this.
As Azure eventhub support both AMQP protocol and Kafka Protocol,
So in the document its mentioned only on the AMQP protocol?
The reason to ask this question is.
**Number of consumer groups per event hub is 20 for Standard tier.
**
While experimenting I observed that, I get the error while I create more than 20 Consumer group in AMQP protocol. But Kafka Protocol is not limiting.
So based on this i understand that, the table is having the limit only on the AMQP protocol end not the Kafka end.
If specifically kafka limit is there the document is mentioned about Kafka limit with its tag like below
Limits |
Notes |
Value |
Size of a consumer group name |
Kafka protocol doesn't require the creation of a consumer group. |
Kafka: 256 characters AMQP: 50 characters |
Kindly let me know on my understanding is correct in tis case. if not updating the document will get a clear path.
