Unable to upgrade postgres version 15 to 16

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade postgres version 15 to 16 but it comes with an error message:

Please share the region and steps and how you are upgrading?

Can you set-up Pg_upgrade log and re-try and download the error log file https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/azure/postgresql/flexible-server/concepts-major-version-upgrade#major-version-upgrade-logs

Major version upgrade logs

Major version upgrade logs (PG_Upgrade_Logs) provide direct access to detailed server logs. Integrating PG_Upgrade_Logs into your upgrade process can help ensure a smoother and more transparent transition to new PostgreSQL versions.

You can configure your major version upgrade logs in the same way as server logs, by using the following server parameters:

To turn on the feature, set logfiles.download_enable to ON.

To define the retention of log files in days, use logfiles.retention_days.

Hello Geetha, My database is hosted in the East US region. Please let me know if I should share the server logs. I have enabled it, but I'm not receiving any specific details about the said issue.

Same, the server logs don't show anything related to the said issue.

Hi, @TIen Vo ,@Pankaj Awaghad On checking with our internal team, it appears that upgrading to the major version is not supported for certain servers at this time. This is because there are ongoing fixes being addressed by the team, with deployment expected in April or mid-May.

To verify the details of your server, kindly provide the server's name and region toAzCommunity[at]Microsoft[dot]com
