Hello! I would like help understanding this "Warning" in Azure Backup. Despite successfully performing the Backup, this "Warning" appears below: The snapshot operation failed due to inadequate VM resources. / Increase the size of the virtual machine and retry the operation. To resize the virtual machine. But, checking the VM, it does not need to be resized, it has plenty of resources. The only point I thought of is because it is a Windows Server 2012 R2, would that be why? Or not? If not, what could be causing this failure?

Hi, pls check step by step next:

    • High CPU/Memory Usage: If the virtual machine is running at high CPU usage (>90%) or memory, the snapshot task is queued, delayed, and eventually times out. You could try an on-demand backup in such situations.
    • Azure VM Agent Issues: The Azure VM agent might be stopped, outdated, in an inconsistent state, or not installed. These states prevent the Azure Backup service from triggering snapshots. You can ensure the VM Status is Running and Agent status is Ready in the Azure portal.
    • Backup Extension Issues: The backup extension might have failed to update or load5. To ensure there are no snapshot extension issues, you could uninstall extensions to force a reload and then retry the backup.
    • Internet Access: The VM might not have Internet access. You can verify that the VM has internet connectivity.
    • Outdated VM Agent: Ensure that the VM Agent (WA Agent) is the latest version.
    • Another Backup Service Running: Verify that another backup service isn’t running. From Services.msc, ensure the Windows Azure Guest Agent service is Running.
