Cannot delete container app environment

I am unable to delete a container app environment from azure. When I try to delete it, I get the message "The specified environment xxxxxxxxx cannot be deleted because it still contains 1 ContainerApps".

However, when I go to the Apps tab on the container app environment, I cannot see any container apps listed.

Although I cannot see any container apps listed under my container app environment, it seems that my container app environment has created a separate resource group that does contain a container app. I cannot delete this either as it has a read-only Deny assignment added that prevents me from being able to delete it.

In summary, I have a container app environment that I cannot delete as it is still linked to a container app which I also cannot delete.

Hi, Welcome To MS Q&A

If it is not working through portal, can you please try it once using Az CLI, please try below command

az containerapp env delete -n MyContainerappEnvironment -g MyResourceGroup -y

If still you faces problem , request you to kindly raise a support ticket from the portal itself

When I run that command I get the error: "(ManagedEnvironmentHasContainerApps) The specified environment zonalmetricexactextractenvstaging cannot be deleted because it still contains 1 ContainerApps"

When I try to create a support request I was just redirected here, or asked to pay for a $29/month subscription for added technical support... its really not clear how to raise a support ticket any other way if this is possible

Then it could be a platform issue better to create a support ticket from portal , support team will help you on this

Im not on a free or student subscription. I am managing resources for my organisation as part of a paid subscription. I have tried to open a ticket in the place you directed me to and it sent me here

its not allowing me to open a technical support ticket unless we pay for it

Ok Then maybe you have some due amount for your subscription as you are using pay-asyougo-model so first you may need to pay it then you can raise ticket

@Samuel Bradshaw Thanks for reaching out and apology for the inconvenience due to this issue. Can you retry the operation again and confirm if you are still facing the issue.

Delete is the async operation and sometimes it may take time to get it completed.

In case if you still not able to delete then please let me know so I can assist you further.
