The training module and test questions incorrectly state 8GB as the max size for Win32 applications. This was changed to 30 GB in February 2024. https://video2.skills-academy.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/apps-win32-app-management

Example Question:
"You have a Microsoft 365 subscription that includes a Windows device named Device1 that is enrolled in Microsoft Intune.

Device1 has the following configuration:

  • OS Architecture: 64-bit
  • Join Type: Microsoft Entra joined
  • Enrollment Type: Intune enrolled

You purchase a new app named App1 that has the following configuration:

  • Architecture: 32-bit
  • IntuneWin file size: 9GB

You need to deploy App1 to Device1 by using Microsoft Intune.

What should you do first?"

Provided answer:
"You should first reduce the file size of the IntuneWin file. The maximum size of an IntuneWin file for deploying a Win32 app is 8GB.

Download a 64-bit version of the source files is incorrect, as 32-bit apps can be deployed to 64-bit operating systems. Microsoft Entra Hybrid Join and Co-management are not requirements to deploy Win32 apps.
