iot device provisionning service with free iot hub

Hi team, I read on the docs that the free iot hub is compatible with iot device provisionning service, but when I create my provisionning service and try to link it to a free iot hub than it's not letting me continue.

How am I supposed to do my tests?

    welcome to this moderated Azure community forum.

    I'm not sure what docs you are referencing, so I tried it myself.

    I tried to add a free tier IoT hub:

    There it only mentions 'standard tier' but the addition is accepted:

    User's image

    I do not actually enroll devices but I expect this will work too.

    Please try it yourself and enroll devices.
